On the trail of the Vierbergelauf: long-distance hiking in untouched nature
The centuries-old custom of the Vierbergelauf is based on the long-distance hiking trail, which takes place every year on the so-called Dreinagelfreitag, the second Friday after Easter. The Vierbergelauf therefore has a long tradition. The highlights of the hike are not only the four holy mountains of Carinthia, but also many historical witnesses of the past.
Between the Magdalensberg, Ulrichsberg, Veitsberg and Lorenziberg mountains, there are numerous excursion destinations and places to stop for refreshments in addition to the wonderful views. These four sacred mountains play a decisive role in the Vierbergelauf.
