The Austrian Volkssportverband (ÖVV)
has various ratings for hiking these trails, for which you receive certificates, pins or ÖVV awards.
The permanent hiking trails:
- Trail 1: Steinerhütte to the large Sauofen oven

Start and finish: St. Urban village square,
Starter card and stamp: Hotel and Restaurant Pfeffermühle, Steinweg 6, 9554 St. Urban - Trail 4: Mariahilferweg
Start and finish: Gasthof Moser, Unterer Markt 17, 9334 Guttaring - Trail 5: Herbal hiking trail Pisweg
Start and finish: JUFA Hotel Stift Gurk, Domplatz 11, 9342 Gurk
Procedure & Information:
Starting maps for these hiking routes are available at the information office of the Central Carinthia Tourist Region on Unterer Platz in St. Veit, and for tours 1 and 2 at the Steiner Hütte (St. Oswald) and the Weißberger Hütte (Weißbergeralm). A star card costs € 2. With the purchase of the starting map, every hiker also receives a printed route map to help with orientation. There are two control boards with control numbers along the route. These must be entered on the start map as confirmation. After completing the route, there is an IVV stamp for each route offered. Hikers can collect this stamp at the Steinerhütte or at the information office in St. Veit.
