The market town of Eberstein in the beautiful Görtschitztal valley is always worth a visit. In addition to twisted places such as the mysterious Holy Hole or the herb garden with tree horoscope, there is another exciting place that needs to be discovered, namely the Bible Hiking Trail.
If you take the road from Eberstein in the direction of Saualpe, you will pass the Biolandhaus Arche just below the village of St. Oswald. This is practical for two reasons. Firstly, because the Bible Trail starts right here. Secondly, because you can park your car or e-bike at the Biolandhaus Arche.
Immerse yourself in nature in Eberstein
A signpost shows hikers the way and after just a few steps, you leave the road behind you and immerse yourself in nature. The path is only steep for a short distance and is well signposted through the surrounding forest, across lush meadows and past numerous viewpoints where you can linger and unwind.
Speaking of the soul when hiking in Carinthia! There are signs along the way. They are an invitation to get to know God. One of these signs describes the Bible Trail as follows: “A hike in nature by the Creator helps you to distance yourself from everyday worries and gives rise to grateful joy.” Well, there’s nothing to add to that!
