Good things are so close, even on the mountain pasture: by bike from the Weißberger Hütte to the St. Martiner Hütte
The Saualm, Carinthia’s panoramic balcony, offers numerous cozy alpine huts that serve down-to-earth cuisine. The idyllic surroundings of Klein St. Paul, which are reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands, especially in the fall, are not only perfect for hiking, but also for biking. One option is the fast-paced hut hopping between Weißberger and St. Martiner Hütte.

The mountain bike tour, which is mostly completed on asphalt roads, begins with a rapid descent from the Alpengasthof Weißberger Hütte. The bikers then pass the village of Wieting and the historic market town of Hüttenberg before the bikers can really work off their energy on the ascent towards St. Martiner Hütte.
Highlights along the way include the two delicatessen huts, the Lingkor and the Heinrich Harrer Museum in the former mining town of Hüttenberg and, of course, the mystical open-air museum in the Heft. The entire, varied tour is peppered with insights and views that are good for the soul.
