7 exciting water-themed stations are an attraction for young and old in the hiking paradise of Flattnitz. The element of water is at the heart of the trail, which encourages conspiratorial walking and awareness-raising rather than the hunt for records.

The Alpengasthof Isopp, which is also the hub of all the attractions on the Flattnitz in winter, is the start of the eventful tour over the natural pass landscape. You hike clockwise through the high valley, from which man wrested pastureland and lime, which was burned in the kilns still visible today, centuries ago.

Feel the water with your hands and feet, hear the splashing, smell the nature. The Almenwasserweg definitely appeals to all the senses. And the QR code on the boards at the individual stations hides information about the areas – listen in and find out more!

The 7 stations, all of which invite you to join in and let children in particular play with water by pumping and guiding, are located along a 7.4-kilometer circular route. Thanks to its gentle gradients, it is suitable for everyone. One highlight is the view of the dark green shimmering Flattnitz Lake, which lies like an opal in the middle of the dense forests.
Breathe in, take a deep breath, enjoy: That’s the motto on the Almenwasserweg.
