Digital lift pass for skiers on the Simonhöhe
The Simonhöhe winter sports area, in the municipality of St. Urban, is easily accessible thanks to its central location and offers 15 kilometers of slopes for an exciting day’s skiing for skiers of all ages.
Skiing in the sunniest ski area in Carinthia
The Simonhöhe near St. Urban is one of the sunniest ski resorts in Austria. On average, there are 49 days of sunshine per season. That’s 10 days more sunshine than the Austrian average of 39 sunny days.
Six lifts with affordable prices and a baby lift offer plenty of variety. The difference in altitude between the valley and mountain stations is 350m. For beginners in alpine winter sports, the slopes around the 1,340 m high Paulsberg offer the best conditions with blue-marked slopes. Six T-bar lifts and two magic carpets for young winter sports enthusiasts ensure easy transportation to the top. There is also a children’s area with lots of attractions in the snow.
The bar hut at the valley station and the Zemroßer-Schmankerlhütte cater to almost every palate.
The Hocheck offers several red-marked slopes such as the slalom slope or the Bärental slope for advanced skiers and snowboarders.
Tip: On certain dates, the Hocheck is brightly illuminated and invites you to go night skiing from 17:00 to 21:00.

Ski school Schinegger
Together with the Simonhöhe mascot, Simonhoppel, the little ones can practise their first turns in the children’s ski area. Family-friendliness is a top priority, as ski legend Erik Schinegger, known from the film and book “The Man Who Became World Champion”, runs one of the ten best ski schools in Austria here. The ski courses in the children’s schools offer an absolute guarantee of success.

The Simonhöhe also offers twilight tobogganing with skidoo service on several dates – fun for the whole family.

The digital lift ticket has been available as an additional feature since 2020. You can purchase the ticket at home via an app and hit the slopes straight away. No more queuing at the ticket office and scanning the ski pass at the turnstile. The first ski resort with this practical service.
