From November 28 to December 24, 2025, you can once again look forward to an atmospheric Advent season in the ducal city. In addition to the Christmas market on the main square, “LUST AUF WEIHNACHT” also offers a colorful children’s and entertainment program for the whole family. Warming drinks and sweet and savory delicacies are provided.
The Christmas market in the old town of St. Veit becomes a stage full of magic – enveloped in the scent of mulled wine, chestnuts and incense, while the carousel and Christmas train make their rounds. Children can do handicrafts in the gift workshop, juggle in the hands-on circus and encounter fairytale walking acts like the hatter on the penny-farthing. Fairytale theater performances, live music and choirs and much more make Advent simply unforgettable for the whole family.

The Christmas market opens on 28 November with a festive program that welcomes visitors from 3 pm. Craft enthusiasts can look forward to an exciting blacksmith show, where the ancient art of blacksmithing can be experienced up close. A highlight for families is the Christmas carriage ride, which will delight children and adults alike. The enchanting stilt walker Marlen provides magical moments with her artistic performance as an angel with glowing wings.
During a stroll through the beautifully illuminated city center, you can marvel at the shop window exhibitions of the vocational school and the popular Bartlaus exhibitions.
